By recognizing the specific needs of a customer, agencies can provide a personalized travel plan. Travel agencies can arrange transfers, accommodations, insurance, activities and tours to meet the specific needs and expectations of customers.

Despite the benefits that travel agencies bring to the distribution system, the arrival of new and cheaper distribution tools such as the Internet has put the future role of travel agencies in a hurry. For this reason, many travel agencies are looking for new positioning strategies to maintain their position in the tourism market. Over the past decade, most airlines have eliminated travel agency base fees, so many agencies receive service fees from customers. In the past, travel agencies received 10% of airline ticket sales, and approximately one-third of the agency's cost was paid for scheduled tariff tickets. Travel agencies, in addition to receiving fees from customers, are looking for other ways to compensate for unpaid airfares. These methods include sales of package tours, cruises or cruises, and focus on providing your expertise.
